life, week 4


When your toddler insists that the day should start at 0454 am, there is quite a lot of time to read, play and eat before kindergarten and work. This too shall pass, right? (Yawn!)

4:30 pm and not yet dark // brighter days are coming


Writing and reading - with a little help - are her new hobbies. And we are all pretty proud of it.


So busy!


Thursday desk lunch. Not pictured: a carrot, mango with fresh cilantro and a jar of strawberry jam. Feeling good about project #Iquitsweettreats, especially now that the headaches are pretty much gone. Not quite there with the sweets craving yet though. How about you?

He rushes over to help every time he sees me unload the dishwasher. Fingers crossed that he will still do it when he becomes a teenager.




Sunday study session in the quietest room of the house, Sara's bedroom. Thankful for my mother-in-law who plays with the kids and the husband who cooks dinner, so that I can immerse myself in the history of the Norwegian language - which is in fact rather interesting, most of the time.

  1. Hi! Today at work I was offered, a pastry, a piece of quality chocolate, and a choice of freshly baked croissants. Before 9.30 AM! It was a struggle, but I politely declined everything. We can do it!
